Solidarity with North Macedonia after tragic fire

We are deeply saddened by the news that at least 59 people have been killed by a horrific fire in the eastern town of Kočani, North Macedonia.
As a sign of solidarity, today the EPO will fly the European Patent Organisation and North Macedonia flags at half-mast in Munich and The Hague. This coincides with the start of seven days of national mourning in North Macedonia.
Our thoughts are with all the victims and their families at this difficult time.
