To remain globally influential, Europe must develop a strong plan to enhance its competitiveness, focusing on innovation, especially within startups and universities. Despite strengths in research and technology, challenges like funding issues or skill gaps hinder progress.
The European Patent Office’s Patent Index highlights technological trends, while the EU must speed up innovation, improve investment, and eliminate growth barriers.
The key question is how Europe can leverage these trends to drive economic growth and enhance competitiveness.
