Information from the EPO
Notice from the European Patent Office dated 24 March 2025 concerning the continuous development of MyEPO and other online services
1. In June 2022, the EPO launched MyEPO Portfolio, a secure, web-based online service that improves access to a range of online services, enables the exchange of digital information and provides a modern, simplified approach to making procedural submissions. Since its initial rollout, the service has been continuously improved through a series of pilot projects, and new features have been added, enabling legacy tools to be decommissioned.
2. The EPO will continue to add new features and functionalities to this and other online services, such as Central Fee Payment and Online Filing 2.0. Registered pilot users will continue to be able to test these new features in pilot projects, which will be announced in the dedicated area of the EPO website. These pilot projects are subject to the conditions and safeguards set out in the decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 11 March 2015 concerning the pilot project to introduce new means of electronic communication in EPO proceedings.1
3. MyEPO Portfolio is being renamed MyEPO.2 This change of name will have no effect on the legal and procedural framework of the service. Starting 1 April 2025, any reference to MyEPO Portfolio is to be understood to refer to MyEPO. This also applies to the reference to MyEPO Portfolio in the decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 25 January 2024 revising the Office's fees and expenses.3
