Role of the Disciplinary Board of Appeal

The Disciplinary Board of Appeal decides on appeals in cases relating to the European qualifying examination for professional representatives before the EPO (EQE) and in cases concerning breaches of their Rules of Professional Conduct.

Composition

The Disciplinary Board of Appeal is composed of two legally qualified members of the Boards of Appeal and one European professional representative in EQE cases, and three legally qualified members of the Boards of Appeal and two European professional representatives in disciplinary cases. Appeals are allocated in accordance with the business distribution scheme of the Disciplinary Board of Appeal.
