Disciplinary matters
Appointment of members of the Disciplinary Board of the European Patent Office
1. Under Article 9 of the Regulation on discipline for professional representatives (OJ EPO 1978, 91 ff), the President of the European Patent Office has reappointed the following four legally qualified members of the European Patent Office as members of the Disciplinary Board for three-year terms:
Ms T. Karamanli and Mr C. Matthies, with effect from 1 February 1998;
Mr H. Zaaiman, with effect from 1 March 1998;
Mr G. Weiss, with effect from 1 June 1998.
2. He has also appointed to the Board, again for three-year terms, the following four members of the Institute of Professional Representatives:
Messrs E.W.B. Lyndon-Stanford, M. Santarelli and C.-A. Wavre, with effect from 1 March 1998 (reappointments);
Mr W. Dabringhaus, with effect from 1 May 1998.
3. From 1 May 1998, Mr M. Ruff will no longer be a member of the Disciplinary Board.
4. The Board thus comprises six legally qualified members of the European Patent Office, namely Messrs D. Bernecker (chairman), R. Cramer, C. Matthies, G. Weiss, H. Zaaiman and Ms T. Karamanli, and four members of the Institute of Professional Representatives, namely Messrs E.W.B. Lyndon-Stanford, M. Santarelli, C.-A. Wavre, M. Ruff (up to 30 April 1998) and W. Dabringhaus (from 1 May 1998).
