Is there a limit on how many files will be accepted for the pilot?

During the first phase of the pilot project (1 December 2020 to 30 November 2022), the maximum number of international applications accepted by the ISA/EP was set at 5 500 (2 500 files for the first year of operation and 3 000 for the second year).

For the second phase of the pilot project (1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023), a cap was set at 3 000 files per year.

For the third phase of the pilot project (1 December 2023 to 30 November 2026) remains set at 3 000 files per year.

Provided that all the conditions for participation are fulfilled, the CNIPA and the IB as receiving Offices will accept international applications for the pilot on a first-come-first-served basis.
