National measures relating to the Unitary Patent
The EPO has published a new booklet "National measures accompanying the implementation of the Unitary Patent". It provides a concise overview of the most important national measures accompanying the implementation of the Unitary Patent in the participating Member States having ratified the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court. It is modelled on the EPO's successful online publication "National law relating to the EPC", allowing the relevant information to be easily retrieved country by country.
The Unitary Patent and the Unified Patent Court are the building blocks which will supplement and strengthen the existing centralised European patent granting system. The new system will enter into force in spring next year and will offer users of the patent system a cost-effective option for patent protection and dispute settlement across Europe
