Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 9 November 2023 fixing the amount of the fee for validating European patent applications and patents in Georgia
The President of the European Patent Office,
Having regard to the agreement signed on 31 October 2019 between Georgia and the European Patent Organisation on the validation of European patents,
Having regard to the revised Patent Law of Georgia,1
Having consulted the Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center (SAKPATENTI) of Georgia,
Has decided as follows:
Article 1
The fee2 for validating European patent applications and patents in Georgia is fixed at EUR 200.
Article 2
If the validation fee is paid late, an administrative surcharge3 of 50% of the amount specified in Article 1 must be paid at the same time.
Article 3
The fees under Articles 1 and 2 apply to payments made as from 15 January 2024, the date of entry into force of the validation agreement signed between the government of Georgia and the European Patent Organisation.
Article 4
This decision enters into force on 15 January 2024.
