Open Day in Munich, 4 December 2007
The EPO's Electronic Library and Information Office will be hosting an Open Day at their premises in Munich on Tuesday, 4 December 2007.
Visitors will have the chance to catch up on all the latest developments and to take a closer look at the Electronic Library and Information Office.
One major change coming up is the new European Patent Convention (EPC 2000), which will enter into force on 13 December 2007 at the latest. The Open Day will feature a number of presentations on the EPC 2000:
- Background to EPC 2000
- Conditions for filing an application and priority
- Substantive patent law
- Legal remedies
- Limitation and revocation
- Petition for review
- Costs and fees
Visitors will also be able to take part in interactive workshops on patent databases and patent searching:

The language of the Open Day is German.
The Electronic Library and Information Office are located at Grasserstrasse 6, 80339 Munich.
