Guidance for the payment of fees, costs and prices1
1. Effective version of the Rules relating to Fees and the fees schedule
The Rules relating to Fees in the version effective as from 1 July 2005 are as set out in the 11th edition (July 2002) of the European Patent Convention in conjunction with the decisions of the Administrative Council of the EPO of 30 October 2003 (OJ EPO 2003, 531), of 4 December 2003 (OJ EPO 2004, 3), of 9 December 2004 (OJ EPO 2005, 5, 10, 11) and of 10 June 2005 (OJ EPO 2005, 422).
The current schedule of fees and costs of the EPO is set out in the Supplement to OJ EPO 2/2005. An updated version will be published as a Supplement to OJ EPO 8-9/2005.
2. Important implementing rules to the Rules relating to Fees

It is recommended that the EPO form for the settlement of fees or costs (Form 1010), obtainable free of charge from the EPO and the patent authorities of the contracting states, be used for each payment: OJ EPO 1992, 671 ff.
