AT Austria
National fees in euro
In view of the introduction of the euro, the patent fees in Austria have been laid down in the new currency and were published on 18 December 2001 in Austria's Bundesgesetzblatt under BGBl. I. No. 143/2001.
Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Austria are advised that from 1 January 2002 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC:
EUR 116 plus EUR 25 for the 6th and each subsequent page of the translation
2. Publication of translations of the patent specification under Article 65 EPC:
EUR 116 plus EUR 25 for the 6th and each subsequent page of the translation and EUR 25 for the 3rd and each subsequent page of any drawings
3a. Renewal fees for European patents granted on or after 1 July 1996:

4. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:
Filing fee: EUR 50
Priority fee: EUR 50
The request for conversion is liable to a document fee2 of EUR 13. A document fee of EUR 3.60 is charged for each page of enclosure, not exceeding EUR 21.80.
5. Registering a transfer of right, licences and other rights: EUR 58 per request and EUR 13 document fee2.
Updating of the brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (11th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables III.B, column 2, IV, column 3, VI, column 1, VII, column 2, and IX, column 4.

2 Stamp duty was abolished with effect from 1 January 2002. The new document fees are not payable until the procedure has been completed.
