Katharina Grosse’s solo exhibition in Vienna

The Albertina in Vienna is to show a major Katharina Grosse exhibition, beginning 1 November 2023. It is the first show in Austria to focus on Grosse’s studio works: large-format, vibrantly colourful paintings created from the 1980s onward. They show the importance of works on canvas in the artist’s oeuvre and how Grosse experiments with the physical presence of colour, its sensory and political potential, as well as its ability to suggest or even embody movement.
