Can I use a virtual background?

Using virtual backgrounds can look more professional, but it has drawbacks. For example, faces may sometimes be partially obscured, and showing documents using a webcam may not be possible. Movements can also disrupt video streaming and negatively impact the proper conduct of the oral proceedings. Virtual backgrounds may also make interpreting more difficult. Participants may be asked by the division to disable their virtual backgrounds if these are considered to be obstructing the proper conduct of the oral proceedings.
