Bank accounts of the European Patent Organisation
Information about the closure of euro accounts of the European Patent Organisation
Two points have been added to the "Information for patent applicants" given in the section "Euro accounts of the European Patent Organisation".
4. Implementation of the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) as of 1 February 2014 will enable patent applicants to make payments direct to the EPO house bank in Germany (Commerzbank AG) under the same conditions as those applicable to payments made to domestic accounts.
The EPO is therefore closing the following accounts with effect from 31 January 2014 (see OJ EPO 2013, 575, 613).
The updated list of European Patent Organisation bank accounts is published on the EPO website under
www.epo.org/applying/forms-fees/payment.html.
5. Payments from member states that are not included in the list of "Euro accounts of the European Patent Organisation" shall be made to the following bank account of the European Patent Organisation:
