INFORMATION FROM THE EPO
Notice from the European Patent Office dated 27 November 2007 concerning the new versions of Forms 1140, 1141 and 1142
The revision of the European Patent Convention (EPC 2000), the Implementing Regulations and the Rules relating to Fees1 has made it necessary to re-issue the following forms and notes:
- Request for the issue of a sample of deposited biological material
(EPO 1140) and notes
- Declaration for the purpose of obtaining a sample of deposited biological material
(EPO 1141) and notes
- Request for deposited biological material to be made available by issuing a sample to an expert
(EPO 1142) and notes
Editorial and layout changes have also been made to the forms and notes.
It is recommended that the new forms (version 12.07) be used once EPC 2000 enters into force on 13 December 2007.

The Rules relating to Fees as adopted by decisions of the Administrative Council dated 7 December 2006 und 25 October 2007 (OJ EPO 2007, 533) have been published in the Supplement to OJ EPO 11/2007.
