Notice from the European Patent Office dated 16 December 2004 concerning the publication of a revised version of the Arrangements for deposit accounts and their annexes
With My.epoline®, smart card holders can debit their EPO deposit accounts online, for fee payments relating to one or more applications. They can also consult the EPO's schedule of fees and costs, look at any online debit orders not yet processed by the EPO, and check their deposit-account balance and the transactions leading up to it.
In view of this new service, the EPO has revised the Arrangements for deposit accounts (ADA) and their annexes, and introduced Arrangements for online fee payment via My.epoline® (Annex B.1).
The revised version1 also reflects Rule 108 EPC as amended2, with the surcharge under Rule 108(4) EPC also covered by the automatic debiting procedure, and the EPO's discontinuation of filing by telex3. And the updated information from the EPO concerning the automatic debiting procedure (Annex A.2) indicates that certain forms can be filed online4.
Lastly, various editorial amendments have been made, and the address in point 2.2 ADA updated.
