INFORMATION FROM THE EPO
New EPO Customer Services unit
In order to be able to provide its customers with a rapid response to general queries relating to patent procedures and information about patents, the European Patent Office has set up a new EPO customer services unit. The new unit, which will be known as EPO Customer Services, is intended for customers who are new to the EPO or who do not know which of the specialist customer support units within the EPO is responsible for their question. Manned by staff at the EPO's premises in Munich and The Hague, the new service can be contacted from Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 18.00 hrs and Friday, 08.00 to 16.00 hrs, on (+49 89) 2399 4636. If EPO Customer Services staff are not able to answer questions themselves, they will connect callers to the appropriate specialist unit.
The existing specialist support and helpdesk services will continue to operate as before and their contact details remain unchanged.
