Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 15 November 2001 concerning the number of copies to be filed of the documents making up the European patent application
The President of the European Patent Office, having regard to Rule 35(2), second sentence, and Rule 36(1), first sentence, EPC, has decided as follows:
Article 1
One copy of the documents making up the European patent application (description, claims, drawings and abstract) shall be provided*. This shall also apply to documents replacing documents making up the European patent application.
Article 2
This decision shall enter into force on 2 January 2002. The Notice from the European Patent Office dated 22 July 1985 concerning the number of copies of documents to be filed (OJ EPO 1985, 248) is hereby set aside.

* At the next revision of the Notes on the Request for Grant form (EPA/EPO/OEB Form 1001 07.99, OJ EPO 1999, 359) the instructions for completing Section 47 will be amended accordingly.
