In view of the introduction of the euro, the patent fees of the Office de la propriété industrielle have been laid down in the new currency by Royal Decree of 20 July 20001.
Applicants and proprietors of European patents with effect in Belgium are advised that from 1 January 2002 the following rates apply:

2. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:
Filing fee: EUR 50
Stamp duty for the duplicate of the description: EUR 5
Stamp duty for the duplicate of the claims: EUR 5
Stamp duty for each sheet of the drawings: EUR 5
Stamp duty for the patent certificate: EUR 5
3. Registering a transfer, licences and other rights: EUR 12.50 per entry.
Updating of the information brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (11th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables VI, columns 1 and 3, VII, column 2, and IX, column 4.
