Reduction in the PCT designation fee1
The PCT Union Assembly at its 27th (12th ordinary) session made the following decision concerning the reduction of the PCT designation fee payable to the International Bureau.
The Schedule of Fees was amended to reduce the designation fee for international applications filed on or after 1 January 2000 from CHF 150 to CHF 140. The equivalents in the currencies ürescrobed by the EPO as PCT receiving Office have been established as follows:

Furthermore, the maximum number of designation fees payable was reduced, with effect from 1 January 2000, from 10 to 8. It is to be recalled that the maximum number of designation fees relates only to express designations made under PCT Rule 4.9(a), not to precautionary designations confirmed under PCT Rule 4.9(c).
