Replacement of Brazilian legal status events

Due to a major re-keying and modernisation of the database, we will have to replace all Brazilian legal status in the INPADOC legal status database. The idea behind the re-key is the concept of showing exactly what you see on the documents. For the legal status this change concerns only the application number format. The change is triggered by the re-key operation in DOCDB. See our update of 9.6.2008.

The replacement will take place in two steps:

  1. In week 34/2008 we will remove the current Brazilian legal status from our databases
  2. Depending on the pace of the re-key operation in DOCDB, but at the latest by the end of 2008, we will reload the Brazilian datasets in the new format

Please be aware: This means that Brazilian legal status will be temporarily unavailable in esp@cenet and in OPS.

The INPADOC legal status raw data exchange (product 14.11) will be done in separate bulk data deliveries. The delete records will be created in week 34/2008 and delivered in week 35/2008. The re-keyed records will be delivered after the re-key operation in DOCDB is completed. The commercial providers are recommended to effect the delete operation only shortly before the reload.
