MyEPO is an integrated suite of services that makes it easy for you – a patent applicant, opponent or representative – to conduct your EPO business.
Smart cards no longer supported
As of 1 January 2025, EPO online services can only be accessed via two-factor authentication. Smart cards are no longer supported. If you have a smart card but didn't manage to activate two-factor authentication using your smart card before the end of 2024, please contact us at epo.org/support for help activating two-factor authentication for your smart card account. If you already activated two-factor authentication for your smart card account, just sign in to your account using your email address, password and your preferred two-factor authentication option. “MyEPO Portfolio" is now "MyEPO"
We have changed the name to reflect how MyEPO is evolving beyond just working with portfolios of applications to covering more aspects of your daily work.

Our secure services are designed to make it easy for you to file patent applications and submissions, interact with us on your files, pay fees and claim refunds. You can help us improve our services by providing feedback and volunteering to trial new features

Get access
We take the security and confidentiality of your information very seriously. We secure your EPO account by two-factor authentication (factor 1: email address plus password; factor 2: another authentication method).

Find a professional representative
If you wish to consult or appoint a professional representative, you can find one in our regularly updated database of professional representatives before the EPO.

File with us
Use our web-based Online Filing 2.0 service to file EP and PCT applications and submissions in opposition, appeal and other proceedings. Online Filing, our legacy software, is still available for download, but we encourage you to use Online Filing 2.0 instead.

Interact with us on your files
MyEPO Portfolio is the place for interacting with us during EP, UP and PCT proceedings. You can receive Mailbox communications from the EPO. And in European proceedings (EP, UP and Euro-PCT) you can access your digital files, submit requests and replies about applications, and interact online with examiners during a live consultation.

Manage fees and refunds
Central Fee Payment gives you all the options for paying fees relating to patent procedures and allows you to claim refunds. Our filing services also offer certain payment-related features, allowing you to submit debit orders, set up automatic debit orders and provide refund instructions.
